IPIO: Reasons Why We Speak

God is continuing to work i n o ur midst and we, a s His young people should strive t o b e witnesses in speech and actions. As we are given the opportunity to speak God’s word, we should be able to learn and improve ourselves in such a way that we will be effective mouthpieces of the Lord.

It i s good to understand why we need to speak and be in front o f a lot of people as our audience. This will allow us to appreciate that we do not just say yes to give a talk because we are available or because we are a leader and so a lot expects us to give talks.

1. To inform about God We are called to inform our families, friends and our society who Christ is. It is our mission to inform the world of His great love and mercy to each one of us. We can only do this if we know how to prepare our presentations when we are given the opportunity to give a talk.

2. To persuade for God We are called to be positively persuading when we do our presentation. Persuading for people to see and appreciate the greatness of God.

3. To inspire for God We are called to inspire our audience to know, love and serve God after our presentation. We challenge ourselves that our audience will take an action to live and bring their learning to life as Christ’s follower after our talk.

4. But most of all, to obey God’s command

Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, TEACHING them to observe all that I have commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, to the close of the age. (Matthew 28:19-20)
